Family News…

Mother’s Day is next Sunday… After Easter Sunday, Mother’s Day is the most popular time for families to come to a Sunday worship gathering. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity and consider how we can invite our neighbor and their family to be with us on this Mother’s Day Sunday. We will have a gift for each mom with us next Sunday.

Be part of the Adult Bible Class at 9am… Kirk Davidson is doing a fantastic job and beginning May 15, Mike Swaim will be teaching about: “Feeling Secure in a Troubled World”. Be part of these relevant classes!

Benny Baker will be here, May 22, to kick-off our annual Mission/Outreach effort for 2022-23… Benny, with his wife Donna, lead Mision Para Cristo in Nicaragua. We are heavy supporters of this mission and they continue to grow and reach more and more people for Christ. We have a special project for this year.

If you are a guest with us today please complete a Communication Card… We continue to mail guests a copy of Max Lucado’s book, “On Calvary’s Hill.” But of course, we need an address to get those books to you. Hope you enjoy your visit. We pray you will find us welcoming and friendly.

The Family Promise Golf Tournament… The men’s ministry is coordinating a team for this event. Please come out and join us Saturday, June 25 at noon, The Links in Post Falls. You do not have to be a great golfer just willing to have fun. For more info or to sign-up see Mike Wood 208-661-2776 lunch and dinner are provided.

Remember “Family Camp” at the end of this month, May 27-30, at our Bible Camp near Fruitland, WA… There is no registration fee. It is planned by the Spokane Valley congregation. See Chris Rouse or Alyson Klein for more information.

Great news from Family Promise… One family who stayed with us received word that two great sources of support for them came through. The military family that stayed in our building graduated from Family Promise into their own home at the end of their week with us. Newby-ginnings helped furnish their home. God is blessing so many families in need through Family Promise and we should feel good about helping with this program. Thank you to all our volunteers.

Family News…

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 14… We have worked with the city to prepare a plan for a newly landscaped front yard along Hanley Street. We need a group of volunteers to bring their rakes and shovels on May 14th to spread stone and new top-soil before the front yard can be planted. A sign-up sheet for volunteers is in the lobby.

It almost time to BBQ… We plan a big “smoked pulled-pork” lunch on May 15th immediately after our worship gathering… This is another opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to come with you. Make your plans now and be praying for its success.

Need some firewood? As work begins preparing the front of our building for a new lawn, we have cut down several over grown Cypress trees. Don’t worry, some smaller ones will be planted in their place. However, in the meantime, there is a stack of firewood out in the parking lot, near our sign. If you need some, please take it quickly. We will take what’s left away in a week. Thank you.

Sharing Hearts meets this Saturday, 9 to 11am, church office conference room… Come enjoy this time of fellowship and prayer. It will bless others and encourage you.

Benny Baker will be here on May 22… Benny, with his wife Donna, lead Mision Para Cristo in Nicaragua. We are heavy supporters of this mission it will again be included in our Mission/Outreach Budget for 2022-23. By the way, Mission Sunday is on June 5th this year.

Remember our pantry is always in need of more food items… We bless more in our community than you may know. Thanks for your help in making this possible. God bless you.

If you are a guest with us today please complete a Communication Card… We continue to mail guests a copy of Max Lucado’s book, “On Calvary’s Hill.” But of course, we need an address to get those to you. Hope you enjoy your visit. You will find us welcoming and friendly. Thanks.
