Church Family Update…

Newby-ginnings… is a non-profit organization helping Vets in our area. During the holidays, we are collecting one of their most requested items: all sizes of bedding (particularly blankets). Second, we hope some of our church family members will adopt-a-Vet family in our area needing a little help with this Christmas, just sign up in the lobby if you want to be part of this program.  Bedding drive will conclude December 12.

We are trying to get an approximate number on our mission trip to Nicaragua this next March 25 – April 2… We need a $50 deposit by December 5 (even though you can pay now if you wish). But for now we are just trying to get some idea of the interest level. Please let us know on your Communication Card or just tell Michael of your interest. Thanks.

The Frozen Fellowship…Thanks for your great response in making and storing frozen food for families who suddenly need food because of sickness or the unexpected event.  Our freezer was almost empty a few weeks ago, now it is well stocked (see pic). But we do have room for more. The frozen food containers are in the lobby. Thanks again.

New Bible Study Starting… are you an early riser? Mondays at 8am, Brad Roberts will be leading a group Bible discussion at Terra Coffee on Government Way. Please call Brad for more information.

Remember our Sunday morning Bible classes…. Arrty Rude is teaching the adult class on The Judges. Let’s be a part of this opportunity to learn from God’s word.

Happy Thanksgiving… The church office will be closed this coming Thursday and Friday for the holiday. Please call an Elder or minister if you have any emergency where we can help.

Let’s never forget those sheltering at home… It’s easy to look around and see who is missing. Call them, check on them, touch base. Staying in touch is a bigger job than just elders and staff can do well week after week. Please help. If you learn someone is in serious need, let our leadership know. Thanks.

DG Youth News…

A HUGE Thank-you to Steve and Hilda Stoll for hosting this month’s Ignite Fellowship! It is so encouraging for everyone to be able to see how fellowship is built at these gatherings! The food, fellowship, and devo are all vital to our youth! Thank you parents for investing in our youth. Let them be: IGINITED FOR JESUS!

We want to help! Senior Christians, or those who are limited because of illness; we want to rake your leaves, shovel your snow, or help with anything around your house. Just call Christian with any need you have around your house. Our teens want to serve!

The JOB Bible Class continues each Sunday at 9am.

December 10th, 6-8pm
Youth Group Christmas Party
We will have a devo, food, the movie Elf, and a white elephant gift exchange. It will be MERRY!
