My Only Hope is You
Church Family Update…
We need more volunteers… We owe a great debt of gratitude to Mike Swaim, Jack, Tabby, and Isaac Cutler for their service in running the microphones and video from our booth upstairs during worship. But they need some relief from time to time. When you first look into the loft, all the buttons and lights can seem a little intimidating; however, most everything is pre-set and all you have to do for the most part involves turning microphones on/off and/or just changing a slide as needed with PowerPoint. Now training will be available to help you feel comfortable. It is actually fairly easy to pick up on how everything works. Please see Mike Swaim if you have questions or want to volunteer.
Attend Sunday Bible Classes… Kirk Davidson is teaching on the book of Colossians at our 9am Adult Bible Class.
We had a great response last week to our Frozen Fellowship… If you want to help prepare a casserole, soup, and a frozen dessert you may still pick-up the frozen food containers in the front of the church office. If you have questions just ask Marie Clarke.
Remember our food pantry needs: Canned fruit, frozen vegetables, boxed meals, tuna helper, pasta sides, bread, juice, hot and cold cereal, chili, beef stew, spam, chunky soups, salad dressings, granola bars, cake mixes, muffin mixes, toothpaste, tooth brushes, floss, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, deodorant.
We will go to Nicaragua March 25 thru April 2… It will only cost $500 for each person and we will need to know if you want to go by the first Sunday in December. On that same Sunday you will need to turn in a $50 nonrefundable deposit so we can start working with the airlines to get the best deal we can find.
The invitation is a wonderful tradition we offer each Sunday morning… We want to present everyone the opportunity to ask our shepherds to pray with them, help them with questions, or help with other needs. Traditionally, we have asked people who respond by coming forward but many have expressed that they are just too nervous to come to the front. So for awhile, our shepherds will stand in the back for people to go quietly to them with fewer eye balls upon them. But we will still bring anything a person wants brought before the congregation. Let’s see if this helps.
