Church Family Update…

Remember on Sunday morning Bible class… Dale Herboldt continues to teach about angels at 9am each Sunday. Learn more about these divine creatures.

We are beginning a new food drive next Sunday for Newby-Ginnings leading up to Memorial Day… This non-profit benefiting vets returning home after their service to our country has become a favorite of our church family. Here are the items they requested: soup of any kind (but tomato is a favorite of vets); canned meats (tuna in water, chicken, beef); pork-n-beans, french cut green beans; diced tomatoes, carrots, canned potatoes (including yams); Ramen noodles (any kind, these are in great demand); cream corn, canned fruit, apple sauce, jelly and jams; boxed cereals.

Thanks for your great generosity in our offering to the new Bible camp and now it is time to roll up our sleeves… There will be a camp “Open House” next  Saturday, April 24th. The Valley congregation will be providing a lunch, and all the camp board members will be at the camp site beginning at 10am. There will be opportunities to walk the property and get an idea of what needs to be    done next. Questions for the board will be welcome. Remember, our camp board members are Chris Rouse and Alyson Klein. This next Saturday is not really a “work day,” even though there may be things to done. It is meant to be more of a let’s explore the property and consider what should be done next. There is hope of putting together a camp weekend over the Memorial Day Weekend, but that is still being explored. (Maps are available on the lobby tables.)

Thank you so much for being generous with our pantry needs… We especially need cereal and juice of any kind. PLUS, we will begin collecting bread and milk that can be kept in our freezer.

2nd Annual Ladies Retreat at the Savenac Tree Farm… October 1-3. Mark your calendars for this fun even
