There are some things that will always be true in Christ no matter what tomorrow may bring.
Colossians 4:7: “Tychicus will give you a full report about how I am getting along. He is a beloved brother and faithful helper who serves with me in the Lord’s work.”
Colossians 4:9: “I am also sending Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, one of your own people. He and Tychicus will tell you everything that’s happening here.”
Philemon 1B-2: “…I am writing to Philemon, our beloved co-worker, and to our sister Apphia, and to our fellow soldier Archippus, and to the church that meets in your house.”
The backstory of Philemon…
How much can we love someone when we have a righteous cause to not like them?
Philemon 1: “This letter is from Paul, a prisoner for preaching the Good News about Christ Jesus…”
Postcard to Philemon about how LOVE ALWAYS MATTERS:
The love of Christ cannot be quarantined.
Christians endeavor to move through love rather than force.
We love like Jesus when we absorb the consequences another person deserves.
Love doesn’t write anyone off as useless.
Philemon 5: “ I keep hearing about your love for ALL of God’s people.”
Philemon asks just how big loving ALL is in the Kingdom of God.
God is committed to the ministry of reconciliation…how about you?
Philemon 25: “May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.”
When our lives are soaked with His grace, we will ALWAYS decide to love.
