|Dear Church Family,
This is a challenging time! We are facing events that we will tell generations from now, stories of hardship. But one thing will remain through the midst of it all! That is Jesus! Jesus is the one constant we can look to during this tough time. I was watching a tv show called Friday Night Lights. In the show, they lose their starting quarterback in a horrific injury that leads to him being paralyzed from the waist down. Coach Taylor speaks to his football team and says the following. “Every man, at some point in his life, is going to lose a battle. He’s going to fight, and he’s going to lose. But what makes him a man is that, in the midst of that battle he does not lose himself.”
I think this quote can be applied to us as Christians. There are times where it feels like we are going to lose. There are times where we mess up, we fail, and we fall short. But what matters is not losing our identity in Christ. No matter how crazy the world gets, we still have a chance to reach others with the gospel of Jesus!
I am praying that we don’t lose our identity in Christ in the midst of this season. Instead, we find new ways to share the message of Jesus.
God Bless You,
