1. Jesus is STILL the MAKER of all.
Job 1:21: “The Lord gives, the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
2. Jesus is STILL the RULER of all.
Luke 4:33-34: “Once when he was in the synagogue, a man possessed by a demon—an evil spirit—began shouting at Jesus, “Go away! Why are you interfering with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One sent from God!”
3. Jesus is STILL the HEAD of His church.
In Acts 4 the first persecution of the church breaks out.
Acts 4:24: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them… Why were the nations so angry? …Why did they waste their time with futile plans? The kings of the earth prepared for battle; the rulers gathered together against the Lord and against his Messiah.”
4. Jesus is STILL Savior of all.
Ephesians 1:10-11: “And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.” NLT
Philippians 3:20-21: “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” NIV
