Luke 2:25-32, 36-38
Psalm 6:2-3
“Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am faint; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are in agony. My soul is in anguish. How long, O Lord, how long?”
How Do We Keep Hope Alive?
- Understand life will remind us that hope is hard.
- We meet with other “waiters” regularly. (Lk 2:42; Lk 4:16; Heb 10:23-25)
- We keep listening to the Holy Spirit. (Lk 2:25, 27; Rom 8:9; Rom 5:5; Jn 16:13)
- We praise God for every blessing and prepare for every difficulty.
Praise comes easy for those who intentional look for the praiseworthy.
Praise prepares us for the swords that will pierce our souls.
