Church Family Update…

Update Directory information… If you have a new phone number or email address, please put that on your communication card today. We will be making a new mini directory for every one soon.

Ladies Retreat… October 2-4  There is still room!  Call Alyson Klein or church office. Last week to sign up!

Benny Baker is coming… For a long time we have sought to have Benny who heads up Mision Para Cristo in Nicaragua. Those of us who have travelled on mission trips to Nicaragua have always been impressed with Benny and Donna’s leadership. Benny will be here on Oct 18th.

Pounding for Christian… For the first time in Christian’s life he’s not in a college dorm or part-time summer job, but he is in his first long-term basement apartment. We want to make him feel welcome with some household items and food he needs and likes. Here some of Christian’s ideas:

  • Air Freshener, Ziploc bags, Canned Food-chili, veggies, etc.
  • Tin foil, Frozen fruit, Ramen Noodles, Yogurt, Sweet Tea (I prefer Milos ha-ha), Seattle’s Best coffee…
  • Tortillas, Tortilla chips, Lunch meats….
  • And surely we might think of more, like cereal, or cookies, sugar, salt and pepper (Well, use your imagination). If we get something he cannot use we can send it to Mountain States or our Pantry.

Mountain States Children’s Home… Please help to fill the boxes for Mountain States. They need Canned Fruit, Soup, Canned Chicken, Stewed Tomatoes, Jam or Jelly, and Cake Mixes. A complete list of items is on the coffee bar. We have until October 18th to gather our donation.

Mission Offering Sunday… Most of our long time church family members know our budget is based upon 51 weeks, so all that is given on one Sunday can be set aside for missions. Our Mission Sunday this year is on November 1. Be praying and be thinking about how you might be generous on this occasion.

Hello Youth!
I am beyond excited to get to know each of you as we develop as a youth group family! This year I want our theme to be Crowns N Thorns. The basis behind this is that we all face moments in our life where we have thorns poking and prodding and making us doubt our faith. Struggles and hardships, now especially with Covid-19! But, we also have moments in our life that make us feel like we are wearing a crown. Moments that make us feel joy and happiness. The amazing thing about Jesus is he was a king that wore a crown of thorns. Better yet, Jesus is a king who wears his crown!! In Jesus, we can learn how to balance the hardships of life with the joys of life. I am looking forward to growing with you as we use this theme for 2020-2021!              God Bless, Christian

When: Friday, October 2nd
