Church Family Update…

The Remodeling continues… Please excuse our mess in the lobby. The new lights are in (and taking up space in the lobby currently). The old wallpaper is down, the old planter has been taken apart, along with the old welcome desk and coffee bar. The coat rack will move to a different wall soon. Eventually there will be new paint, lighting, a new coffee bar, new seating, carpet, and welcome area. Please try your best to be patient and understanding. We are moving the construction along as fast as possible. If you have any questions you might ask the elders or Michael.

Today the Parenting Class continues… Larry Slate is standing in for Mike Wood for the adult Sunday morning class, on parenting. Everyone is someone’s child, and this class will help you think about what it means to parent. It will have implications for parenting and grand-parenting. Please check out this quality class.

Ladies Night Out… See the play “Church Basement Ladies” at the Sixth Street Melodrama in Wallace. The play will be at 7:00pm on Saturday, March 21st. We will meet at the church building at 4:30pm and carpool to “The Brooks” in Wallace for dinner, then to the play afterwards. Tickets are $15. Please sign up in the lobby. Tickets will be purchased by March 1. Make sure you sign up before then. Any questions, please contact Alyson Klein.

Greeters and Welcome Desk… Please help with this important ministry. The sign up sheet is on the welcome table, there are quite a few available months.

Men’s Ski Day… This year’s men’s ski day will be February 22nd at Silver Mountain. Please join us for a day of fun on the slopes. We’ll leave from the church building at 8am and be back around 5. Last year we had a great time on the mountain together, and this year promises to be just as fun.

The church office will be closed Monday for President’s Day

DGYM…

Our Tuesday Night Teen Group is starting again soon! All 6th-12th graders are encouraged to make plans to join us on Tuesday nights starting on February 18th. We’ll be in the Youth Barn from 6:00 to 7:30pm for a light dinner and devotional. Invite your friends to come too!

On the last Tuesday of the month, February 25 The TNT Group will be going BOWLING at Sunset Lanes. Meet at the building to ride in the church van leaving at 6pm –7:30. Just bring money for food. Invite your friends! Please call the church office for more information.

Kirk Davidson and Jim Klein will be teaching the Sunday morning class for the teens: “Learning from the Parables of Jesus: Short Stories, Big Lessons”

Youth/Worship Minister Job Announcement
Dalton Gardens Church of Christ

The Dalton Gardens Church of Christ is a strong and influential congregation in the Great Northwest, located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This is a resort area surrounded by lakes and evergreens, in the foothills of the Bitterroot Rocky Mountains. There are well over 100,000 people within 20 minutes of our church building.

We are searching for a humble servant able to work as part of a ministry team. We are looking for a gifted youth worker and worship leader; and, someone who will help organize ministry efforts blessing our teens, their families, and the congregation as a whole.

Our leadership philosophy is that each ministry staff member must work closely together under the shepherd’s oversight of the congregation. We believe true leadership involves the capacity to build teams of volunteers who may use their God given gifts for ministry. Beyond helping with the congregational worship, this job will involve recruiting volunteers, appointing coordinators, and enlisting the help of parents to participate in the various aspects of Children’s, Youth, & Family Ministry.

Worship is at the heart of our congregational identity. Inter-generational worship is vital to the spiritual growth and stability of our congregation. We seek a person who can help us design meaningful worship experiences each week. They will also work with our Senior Minister and “Praise Team.”

But most importantly, this position is about helping our youth grow spiritually in the Lord’s Word and building strong relational lives as His servants who joyfully bless others. We pray and trust God will connect us to a person with a Godly passion for these duties.

Apply by sending your resume, and a letter of interest to: Youth/Worship Minister Search, Dalton Gardens Church of Christ, Attention: Michael Lewis, Dalton Gardens, ID 83815. If you have a DVD of you teaching or leading worship for some group meeting, please send us a copy.
