Colossians 1:9-14
Two General Principles:
1. Maturity is impeded when believers are NOT filled with spiritual wisdom .
Colossians 1:9; 1:28; 3;16 and 4:12
2. The more God’s Word and Christ Jesus are internalized into our lives the more spiritually mature we will be.
Spiritual Maturity is NOT:
1. Automatic with age .
2. Automatic with skill or popularity . Acts 6:3
3. Just being able to quote scripture .
Three examples of Spiritual Wisdom: Spiritual wisdom is...
1. Living in a way that honors Jesus (v. 10).
2. Realizing you can live in power and still live in pain (v. 11-12).
3. Comes when you stop asking for salvation and start celebrating it (v.13-14).
