Heaven is not just a future hope, but also a present help...
“You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right side of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth.” Colossians 3:1-3
Here’s how heaven helps us... it provides us attitude with altitude...
1. Heaven encourages us to insist on different values and priorities .
Hebrews 11:13; 1 Peter 2:9-11; 1 Peter 1:17
2. Heaven helps us to "lighten up" and invites less stress into our lives.
2 Corinthians 4:17, 18
3. Heaven will help us to persist in our trial and suffering .
Hebrews 12:1-3; Romans 8:18
4. Heaven helps us to resist selling-out to this world.
1 Peter 3:19-21
