Stage One:  Grand-parenting .

2 Timothy 1:5

Generalizations:

1. Children deserve to  know  their grandparents, even if they are not spiritual.

2. If the grandparents are  spiritual , they can provide a sense of direction and reinforcement that is very powerful in a child’s life.

Stage Two:  Retirement .

Remember, you don’t  retire  from the  Lord .

Matthew 25:23

Stage Three:  Role   Reversal .

Stage Four:  Dependence .

John 2:18

Remember:

1. The command to honor your father and mother is for  life .

2. If you don’t  get   along  with your parents now, time is not going to help.

3. Make the most of the  time  you have now.

4. We can love and sacrifice our parents through old age because we believe in the Lord who promises to make  all   things   new .
