Judas Iscariot was a a person who looked right on the outside, but was broken on the inside. John 12:6 3. Judas’ betrayal of Jesus was not a sudden impulse but a progressive rejection. Matthew 26:14 4. Judas’ unforgiving heart turned from vengeance against the Lord to vengeance against himself. Matt 27:7 and Acts 1:18 Lessons: 1. Judas is the world’s greatest example of lost opportunity . 2. Judas is the best example of how the selfish love of things can totally warp you. 3. Judas should forever remind us of the forbearing patient love of God. |
