1 Samuel 7:3-12

Point Two: In every spiritual challenge, God’s people need leaders with  character  who can remind us that hope begins by being  close  to the Lord.

How do you draw near to God?

1. Repenting of our  mistakes . (James 4:8-10)

2. Being people of  prayer . (Hebrews 10:22)

3. Demonstrate  spiritual   courage  in the face of discouraging circumstances. (Heb 10:23, 24)

4. Assembling to  worship . (Hebrews 10:25)

5. Recommitting ourselves to  God's   Word .

Leaders cannot be like travel agents who hand out brochures to  places   they   have   never   been .

6. Remember that it is  by   God's   help  that we have come to what we have. (Galatians 2:20)
