John 3:1-3

Nicodemus had what most people think they need to make life worth living:

1. He had  power .
2. He had a great  education .
3. He had  money .
4. He had  religion .

John 3:3, 4

What did Nicodemus need?

1. He needed a  new   life .
2. He needed a  new   birth .

John 3:5-8

3. He was told he could not have new life  until  he had a new birth.

John 3:10-16

4. The spiritual birth is not by the  physical  effort of man, It is a free  spiritual  gift from God through faith.

Summary:

1. The new birth is  essential  not  optional .
2. The new birth is  internal  not  external .

Mark 7;14; Ezek 36:26, 27

3. The new birth is a  gift  not an  achievement .

Col 2:12
