Isaiah 55:8
Principle One: Work is a blessing , not a curse .
Genesis 2:15; 2 Thess. 3:6-8, 10
Four blessings that come from work:
A. Work builds our self-esteem (John 5:17-18).
B. We need to work because a job well done pleases the Lord (Col. 3:23-24).
C. Work develops our character (Col.1:10-11).
D. Work is an excellent opportunity to know the world and reach them (Matt 5:13).
Principle Two: Healthy profit is honorable , not sinful (1 Tim 6:10; Matt 25:14-30).
Principle Three: We should manage our resources in ways that honor life in the kingdom of Christ (Luke 16:10-11).
