Word Four: "TRANSFORMED"

Two things I learned through the “School of Hard Knocks” about change:

1. There is always a natural  resistance  to it.

2. Change is  inevitable .

3. The Christian life is a  journey  of  change .

2 Corinthians 3:18; Romans 12:1, 2; Romans 8:28, 29

The Message: We have been designed to be made into the likeness of Jesus and God uses  everything  to help that process along.

The ways God helps us to become more like Jesus:

1. We set our  minds  on what the Spirit desires (Romans 8:5).

Matthew 18:1-3; Mark 9:35; Mark 8:34-37

2. We live in hope of our  inheritance  (Romans 8:26).

3. The Holy Spirit  prays  for us and with us (Romans 8:26).

4. We understand that God can use  suffering  to shape us like Christ (Romans 8:18, 19).
