Lesson Fourteen: “Project Rescue”

James 5:19, 20

First, notice this is written NOT just to church leaders, but to the entire  church   family .

Romans 12:10; Romans 15: 7; Gal. 5:13; Heb. 3:13; Col. 3:13; Eph. 4:2; Gal. 6:1, 2

Second, almost every Christian  drifts  from time-to-time.

1 Tim. 4:16; 1 Cor. 10:12; Romans 8:31-36; 1 John 5;17; Heb. 6:4-6

Third comes the question: What should we do to  rescue  a Christian who is  drifting ?

A. You must  love  another person so much you can overcome the personal fear of  confrontation  (1 Cor. 13:7).

B. Confrontation is for a  pattern  of sin, not for every little  mistake  (Gal. 6:1).

C. Check your  motives  and your  life  before you try to help another (Matt. 7:4, 5).

D. Be eager to  forgive  and  restore  (Col. 3;12, 13).
