James 5:13-16

WHY PRAY:

1. In  trouble  (V. 13).

2. When you are  happy  (V.13).

3. When you are physically  sick  (V. 14).

4. When you are spiritually  sick  (V. 15, 16).

QUALITIES OF EFFECTIVE PRAYER:

1. Pray in  faith  (V.15).

Hebrews 11:6

2. Live in  authenticity  (V.16).

Matthew 5:23, 24

3. Walk  closely  with God (V. 16).

Psalms 84:11

James 5:17, 18

HE WAS  JUST   LIKE   US .

4. When you  pray ...really  pray  (V. 17).

Programs, even good ones, cannot substitute for the  personal   commitment  to model the
priority of  prayer .
