John’s courage - Matthew 3:5-9...

John wasn’t afraid to tell   important   people what they needed to hear.

John even had the courage to challenge the spiritual life of the   KING  .

What are the implications for us?

1. Speak up for what scripture says is   right   and   wrong  .

2. To   invite     others   to Jesus in our community.

3. Our capacity to help others face   sin   is directly related to how we face   sin   in our   own     life  .

1 John 1:8-9: “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
