1. Christ’s death was   divinely     planned  .

Isaiah 53; Psalms 22; Matthew 20:28; John 10:17

2. Christ’s death was   extremely     painful  .

3. Christ’s death has an   eternal     purpose  .

Romans 5:6-11 and 6;3-6

The Gospel:

• It is impossible for people who are lost in sin to   save   themselves.

• The penalty for being lost is   death  .

• Jesus is the only person who ever lived who did not   deserve   to die for he was without   sin  .

• Jesus chose to die a   substitutionary   death.

• His death paid what we owed for our sinfulness and thru his   blood   we can be one with God.

• We receive salvation when we give ourselves to Jesus by personally   reenacting   the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
