The Beginning: We Fish

“Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men (Matthew 4:19).”

“Go into all the world and preach the good news  to everybody, everywhere (Mark 16:15).”

“He came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10).”

What does it take to be a fisher of people?

  • He loved people where they were.

  • He thought beyond their present circumstances.

  • He looked for ways to give people what they needed most.

  • He tried to point people to God’s purpose for their life.

“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you make know how to answer everyone (Colossians 4:4).”
