II Corinthians 4:16-17 – Renewed daily
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we
are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For
our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal
glory that far outweighs them all.
II Corinthians 5:16-17 – New creation
So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point
of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no
longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the
old has gone, the new has come!
Hebrews 4:16 – Confidence before God
Let us then approach the throne of grace with
confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us
in our time of need.
Colossians 3:5 – Overcome temptation
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your
earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and
greed, which is idolatry.
I Peter 2:20-21 – Endure hardships
But how is it to your credit if you receive a
beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing
good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you
were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an
example, that you should follow in his steps.
