Introduction: Acts 20:17-38
If you had one last sermon to preach, what would you
say?
I.
_____________________________________________________.
A. Philippians 3:1
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord.
B. Most of the Psalms mention God in the first
and/or last verses.
C. Psalm 115:1
Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be
the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.
D. Scriptures:
But whatever was to my profit I now consider
loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything
a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ
Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider
them rubbish, that I may gain Christ - Philippians 3:7-8
I have been crucified with Christ and I no
longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the
body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave
himself for me. - Galatians 2:20
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To
write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a
safeguard for you. - Philippians 3:1

A. One another passages -
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As
I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men
will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." -
John 13:34-25
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Honor one another above yourselves. - Romans 12:10
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the
continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his
fellowman has fulfilled the law. - Romans 13:8
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do
not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve
one another in love. - Galatians 5:13
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved
children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and
gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to
God. - Ephesians 5:1-2
Now about brotherly love we do not need to write
to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each
other. And in fact, you do love all the brothers throughout
Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers, to do so more and more. -
I Thessalonians 4:10
And let us consider how we may spur one another
on toward love and good deeds. - Hebrews 10:24
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying
the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love
one another deeply, from the heart. - Finally, all of you, live
in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers,
be compassionate and humble. - Greet one another with a kiss of
love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ. - I Peter 1:22;
3:8; 5:14
This is the message you heard from the
beginning: We should love one another. - I John 3:11
And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new
command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we
love one another. - II John 5
B. Always treat each other with love, even when we
disagree, are angry, or when somebody's live needs correction.
C. II Corinthians 13:11
Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be
comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love
and peace will be with you.
III.

A. Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world. A city on a hill
cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it
under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives
light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light
shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise
your Father in heaven.
B. Being the light of the world starts with love.
C. As much as I love Coeur d'Alene, this world is
not my home.
D. I Thessalonians 4:1
Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort
you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction
as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually
do walk), that you excel still more.
IV. ________________________________________________.
A. II Thessalonians 3:1
Finally, brethren, pray for us that the word of
the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it did
also with you;
B. Acts 20:9-11
Paul preached till Eutychus fell asleep - raised
him up and went back to preaching!
C. Acts 20:20, 31
You know that I have not hesitated to preach
anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you
publicly and from house to house. ... So be on your guard.
D. Ephesians 6:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the
strength of His might.
Conclusion: Acts 20:32
Now I commit you to God and to the word of his
grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all
those who are sanctified.
