Courtesy Call

Introduction: We've all heard of common courtesy. But courtesy
does not seem all that common.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking - I
Corinthians 13:5a
What does courtesy do?
I. Courtesy refuses to live ____________ in a
grace-impaired world.
A. Rudeness in the Bible is behavior without grace.
B. The world does not live on the grace principle but on
the "you get what you deserve" principle.
C. I Peter 2:13
Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority
instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority

II. Courtesy chooses ...

The lips of the righteous know what is fitting, but
the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your
mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to
their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
