A. Suffering does not mean that God does not love you or even that you have done something wrong.

Phil. 1:29: For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to ________ in Him, but also to ________ for His sake.

Phil. 3:10: That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the ________ of His ________.

I Peter 4:12-13: Beloved, do not be ________ at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes for your ________, as though some ________ thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on ________.

I Peter 2:21: Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an ________ for you to ________ in His steps.

B. We are engaged in spiritual warfare. Be prepared to face temptation.

Eph. 6:12: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the ________, against the ________, against the world ________ of this ________, against the __________ of ________ in the heavenly places.

Eph. 2:2: Satan is described as "the ________ of the ________ of the _______."

Matt. 4:1-11: Jesus was tempted ________, ________, and ________.

James 4:7: Resist the devil, and he will ________!

C. Stay connected to God in prayer.

James 4:8: Draw nearer to God, and He will ________ to you.

Jesus enjoyed talking to God so much because He knew Him! The better you know God, the more you will enjoy praying to Him.

D. Reach out to people who are looking for God.

Don't waste your time trying to force-feed your friends who are not seeking. Watch for those who are seeking spirituality, and spend time with them, answering their questions.

E. Don't judge people, but do use good judgment.

Matt. 7:1,6: _____________________________

F. Without a healthy amount of forgiveness, our lives will be miserable.

Job 42:10: And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he __________ for his friends.

Matt. 18:21-35: And his Lord handed him over to the __________.

Matt. 6:14-15: But if you do not ________ men for their trespasses, then your Father will not _________ you.

John 8:1-11: The woman caught in adultery.

G. Spending time with close friends is healthy.

James 5:16: _____________________________

H. Sometimes even close friends will betray us.

I. God will provide us with a new family in the church.

John 3:3: ________________________________

J. Love is the only way!

John 13:34-35: "A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
