Living Every Day with Hope

Introduction: Have you ever known people that can maintain dignity when they are faced with difficult situations? Some seem to rise above any difficulty. They have learned that hope carries them.

I. Two Observations Concerning Hope:

A. It is hard to be full of ________ if your hope tank is ________.

1. For most, happiness depends on what's happening.
2. Taking God out of the picture always leaves no hope.
3. Ephesians 2:13
4. I Peter 3:15
5. I Peter 1:3
6. The resurrection of Jesus from the dead gives us hope.

B. It's easy to be full of __________ if the tomb is __________.

1. The resurrection of Jesus changes the way we view everything.
2. Acts 23:6
3. Acts 26:6
4. I Peter 1:21
5. I Thessalonians 4:13
6. I John 3:2-3
7. My character should say to others that I am a citizen of heaven.

II. When You Have Hope:

A. You do not seek to __________.

B. You are not flooded with __________.

1. Jesus' first words were, "do not be afraid."
2. II Corinthians 3:12

C. People with hope do not drown in __________. I Thessalonians 1:3

Conclusion: If the resurrection of Christ is true, then no bad thing in my life is ever final. I can handle any bump in the road if I know the final destination.
