REQUEST THIS SERMON

Introduction: All of life is to be lived under the Lordship of Christ. This especially applies to our words. You should be able to recognize a Christian both by his walk and his talk.

Text: Colossians 4:2-6

God provides doorways of opportunity for us to minister to others.

I. How do you take advantage of doorways? Pray.

A. Before talking to men about God, talk to God about men.
B. Ephesians 6:19-20
C. II Thessalonians 3:1

II. Principles of how to walk through open doors:

A. ____________________

1. How willing am I to sacrifice for others to hear good news?
2. The gospel is free but it always costs somebody something to share it.
3. You can not pray for open doors and have it not cost anything.

B. ____________________

1. Gospel clarity is just as important as gospel purity.
2. Teach in the language of the people.

C. ____________________

1. Make the most of every opportunity.
2. See people not as interruptions, but divine appointments.

D. ____________________

1. People are rarely argued into faith.
2. The message of grace should be delivered graciously.

E. ____________________

1. Don't be content with a content gospel.
2. Our job is to deliver the mail, not change the message.

Conclusion: When you pray this prayer, be prepared for God to answer it. Look for open doors and walk through them.
