Team Update

We are very happy to introduce you to Ryan and Beth Richardson and their children, Katie, Jonah and Aaron. After lots of prayer and discussion, Ryan and Beth have made the decision to come and join us here in service to God and the Kabiye people, and we gladly accept them. Please pray for their family as they prepare!

We are also very excited that Andrew and Julia Stoff have arrived safely in France for their language studies. Lord willing, they will join us next December or January. Please pray for their language studies, that God would grant them this great gift!

Please be on the lookout for registration information for the Together for Togo conference, to be held from April 3-5 at the GracePointe Church of Christ in Montgomery, AL. We hope to see you there!

Happy New Year from the Reeves family! We had a wonderful holiday season this year with our team family, Kabiye Christian family, and with our own small little family. We missed our friends and family back in the states, though, and enjoyed communicating with many of you over the past few weeks. We have still had some times of study and fellowship with our Kabiye brothers and sisters during the midst of all of the Holiday busyness and we are thankful.

David also has made two road trips to Accra since our last newsletter, taking our school teachers and mentor Tom Moore down to fly out to the states and then driving down to pick up our teachers who have just returned from their Christmas break. School will start back on Tuesday the 6th and it will be nice to be back into a routine. Becky is also beginning an online Chemistry course to prepare for course work in the health field sometime in the future.

David will begin the process of well drilling in the village of Sogode beginning this week. Now that the millet harvest is in and the holidays have passed he hopes to have a good season of success with many workers to help in drilling more wells in villages that badly need clean water.

Other news is that our dear friend and language teacher gave birth to her fourth baby, Joanna Esowazim on Sunday December 21st! She is healthy, beautiful, and both mother and baby are doing well. We praise God for His beautiful gift to their family. Also, the mother of the two girls down our street who have suffered abuse in the past is doing well and taking good care of her daughters. We were able to visit with them a couple of times over the past few weeks and were so pleased to see that they were happy and being looked after. Our family made over 100 sugar cookies, decorated them and passed them out to our neighborhood children on Christmas Day. We also enjoyed times of celebration in Lassa Tchou with our Christian brothers and sisters and caroling with our teammates to other expatriates in town, as well as sharing meals and worship times together as a team.

We hope that your Holidays were blessed and we praise God for all that He has done in sending Jesus to change our lives so dramatically. Thank you for all of your prayers! They are precious to us!

Love,
The Reeves Family
