Team Update
The
big team news for this edition is that the Kennells are back and the
Hangens are coming!!! The Kennells arrived in Accra on Nov. 10th and are
busy settling into their lives and work in Kara. Their container has
arrived in port and should be cleared sometime in the next week. The
Hangens are finishing up their last weeks of language school and will
join the team in early January. Please pray for the whole
team as we welcome these families onto the field, and continue to pray
that God will provide all the remaining funding needed for them and for
the Heads and Stoffs.

The
past couple of weeks have been a blur for our family in many ways and
yet at the same time have also brought a great deal of clarity to our
family’s future. For much of the past three weeks we have been rocketing
across the continent going from west to east Africa and back again. Our
voyage took us from Kara to Accra where we flew to Addis Ababa and
eventually on to Rwanda where we spent two weeks surveying Kigali, the
capital, and the Musanze region, which is in northern Rwanda.
Our
time there with the Miller family brought a great deal of clarity and
affirmed in our minds the purposes God has for us in Rwanda. We enjoyed
spending wonderful moments with fellow missionaries who are already
working in Rwanda and whom we are excited about sharing our lives with
in the near future. We are so thankful to God for his faithfulness and
care during our journey, for his healing of our sicknesses (members of
our family suffered from malaria, an ear infection, bloody noses, and
air sickness) and we are thankful to each of you for your support and
prayers during our time there.
Since returning to West Africa a few day ago, we spent some good time
with the Crowsons and Koonces in Accra. These two families
will be moving to Rwanda at the beginning of January and we ask that you
pray for them as they wrap up their time in Togo and begin their new
work in Rwanda. Also, we have been very thankful that the
Kennell family have returned to Togo. They have been spending the past
few days in our home and we are so thankful for the fellowship that we
share with them. Please pray for God to bless them in this transition
time and as they get settled into their home and this culture. Also, we
are getting back into the flow of work. This past Wednesday Becky
enjoyed a good meeting with Mazalo from Soumdina Po Wayi
as well as Christianne from Lassa Tchou. Be
in prayer for Mazalo and the other ladies that Becky is meeting with on
a weekly basis. --David
