Team Update

We are excited to announce that the 2009 Together for Togo conference will be taking place this spring at the Grace Pointe Church of Christ in Montgomery, Alabama! The dates will be April 3-5. Grace Pointe is the Emerson's sponsoring church, and they have been proud supporters of Togo missions for almost 3 years. More details will follow in the coming weeks and months, so for now just go and block out the dates on your calendar. We look forward to fellowshipping together with family, friends and supporters and celebrating what God is doing in Togo. May He be glorified in all that we do here!

David, Becky, Hannah, Elijah, Gabriel & Caleb Reeves - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

Hello friends and family. It has been some time since our last newsletter post and we have a number of exciting things to share with you all. We hope this letter finds you blessed by God and thriving in His kingdom. We are so thankful to each one of you. Our first and most exciting news is the decision of our daughter Hannah to give her life to Jesus. September 8th we, along with many of our friends here in Kara, went to a waterfall outside of Kara and witnessed Hannah's new birth into Christ. We are so proud of her. Thanks to so many of you who showered her with notes of love and encouragement. Please continue to pray for her as she continues her walk in the steps of Jesus. Recently we also celebrated the physical birthday of our youngest son Caleb. On August 23rd Caleb turned 2 and a few days later we threw him a small party complete with cake, decorations and all his friends. He had a great time. Caleb is growing so fast and we are so thankful for his presence in our lives.

Work has been going well and has been very diverse. Becky and David both are involved in training some individual Christians so that these believers can in turn go and teach other individuals about Christ. Becky is currently studying with three ladies and this next week will begin studying with a fourth. David is currently studying with a one man and in a couple weeks will begin studying with a Muslim gentleman who is good friends with many of us on the team. He has shown an interest in studying about Jesus and so we definitely do not want to miss out on this opportunity. Also, David is continuing to work with the village of Tchefengda in agricultural development and is seeing some wonderful progress made. The well drilling project has been on hold because of rains, but will resume sometime in November or early December depending on rains and work being done in the fields. Please be praying for each of these individuals who are involved in the training and studying (Christianne, Mazalo, Honorine, Kumealo, and Sobo). Also be in prayer for the agricultural work and soon to resume well work. These development projects are opening doors for the Christians here to serve, bless and love those around them. Well, thanks you so much for reading our blurb and praying for us and the work. Your involvement in what we do here is priceless and we praise God for you. We love each of you. Blessings! The Reeves Family
