Team Update

The team has enjoyed a week of normal life (or as normal as life can be in Africa!) after the departure of our summer interns. Matt and David returned from a church-planting conference in Zambia full of encouragement and ideas. Anyone interested in finding out more about what they learned should check out the site: www.cpmtr.org

We are excited to announce that the Singing Oaks Church of Christ in Denton, TX has agreed to be their overseeing congregation! Read their blurb below for more information.

We are all looking forward to the arrival this week of two of our teachers, Bekah Gibb and Daniel Nicholas. The Millers are going down to Accra this week to pick them up.

We continue to seek partners to help fund our well project and our team school, Kara Christian Academy. If anyone is interested in finding out more about how they can be involved in these aspects of our team, please e-mail us at kabiyemission@yahoo.com

David, Becky, Hannah, Elijah, Gabriel & Caleb Reeves - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

Greetings from the Reeves family! We are thankful for the safe return of David back to Kara from the CPM conference that he and Matt attended on church planting. We are also thankful for the wonderful learning experience they had and the time of renewal it was for David spiritually and in vision for future ministry both here in Kabiyeland and in a few years in Rwanda. We are planning a survey trip to Rwanda near the end of October with the Miller family to see, as a family, where God is calling us to future ministry in the next few years.

Becky and the children had a blessed time together at home by themselves for 11 days. They learned some basic sewing stitches, began to learn how to read music to play on our little keyboard, and baked some things together. Becky also helped to take the interns back to Lome to fly out to the states. While on their trip, Caleb got a check up and some shots at our pediatrician's office in Lome' and then Elijah had his ear checked out by the pediatrician in Tsiko on their way back to Kara. During the two nights they were away Andrea kept Gabriel and Hannah here in Kara and God watched over and protected all of us as we were in 3 different places. We praise Him and thank those of you who were praying for us!

With internship over, our house is full of quiet. And although we really enjoyed our group of interns this year, we are also thankful for the peace of stillness and time spent together alone as a family. Please continue to pray for our interns (Jenifer, Niki, Heather, Meredith, Josh, Brock, Dustin, Ben, Andy, Adam, Kevin, and Zach) as they process their time here in Togo and ask God what He wants to show them and lead them to from their experiences here this summer.

David began a new well with Kabiye Christians and others in the village of Ewede this past Friday. They hope to complete the work this coming week. Please continue to pray for success and training of teams as David continues in this ministry of bringing clean water to so many who need it.

May God bless you and thank you so much for your prayers for all of us! Keep up with us on our blogs:

May God bless you!
Love, the Reeves
