Team Update

Hello from the Kabiye Team! We are happy to report that all are doing well, though we are enduring a season of frequent power cuts due to power rationing. Thankfully the rains are beginning to fall, which makes the time without fans more bearable. We have much to share with you in this edition of Kabiye Team News, including updates on the well project, updates on evangelism and teaching in the villages, and various happenings in our family lives both for those of us in Togo and those who are stateside. We hope you will take the time to read through each family's news and bring prayers before our Father on behalf of our team and the Kabiye!

We've had a busy last couple of weeks! The test wells that Matthew, Late', and David have been drilling are giving us lots of experience and opportunities to trouble shoot. The pump well at Lassa Tchou is still producing lots of water and the well in Kacaade is in its final stages, producing water thankfully after a 5th drilling attempt. Late' has left to go back down south for awhile and David is hoping to get as much drilling experience in as he can before Matthew leaves on May 7th.

We are down to our last week of school and Becky will finish preschool with Asher, Gabe, and Owen this week. She has really enjoyed teaching them this year. Their joy of learning has been a delight to witness! All of our children had a fun time performing and showing off their work at our Kara Christian Academy's Open House night a week and a half ago. This has been a very successful school year with lots of progress in learning for all of our children!

On the social front Hannah hosted a Friendship Tea Party and later in the week all of the team ladies were privileged to take a trip to Lome' for the weekend in honor of Tracey as the Rieses prepare to leave next month. They enjoyed a lot of talking time together and also the opportunity to relax on the beach and eat out.

Please be praying for the Ries family as they prepare to leave Togo and for our team as we say the hard goodbyes. We also covet your prayers for this year's group of 12 college interns that will be arriving near the end of May to spend over a month and a half with our team. Please also be praying, as always, for God's word to continue to take root in the hearts of Kabiye Christians. May God bless you! We'd love to hear how we can be praying for you!
