Team Update
We apologize for the recent silence from Kabiye Team News. Due to a
couple of computer crashes, it has taken us a while to get the
newsletter up and running.
The past few weeks have been filled with much activity and great
blessing for our team and the Kabiye. We had a very successful all
church retreat with over 100 Christians from 15 churches, and new
evangelism has begun in two villages. Probably the greatest of these
blessings has been the arrival of Matthew Waller, an intern from Water
for All International (www.waterforallinternational.org)
who arrived on March 8th to spend two months with our team teaching us a
low-cost well drilling technique.
We are especially excited to announce that the first well has been
successfully drilled and a pump installed in the village of Lassa Tchou!
Thank you for your prayers for this project. God has answered! We would
appreciate continued prayers for God's provision for the project. We
still need to raise over $10,000 to fund the initial start-up of the
well project, which will include drilling 30 wells. If anyone is
interested in helping with this need, please e-mail David Reeves at
kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr.

Greetings
from the Reeves family! We have had a busy last couple of weeks in our
household. The biggest news is that David has been privileged to help
find, purchase and create a drilling rig and pump well with parts all
found here in Togo. Matthew Waller, a representative of Water For All
International arrived here a couple of weeks back along with our friend
and colleague Latte, a Christian from Tabligbo in southern Togo.
Matthew, Latte, and David have all been working long hours and days
getting a drilling rig ready and actually drilling for water last week
in Lassa Tchou. As of Friday there is a beautiful working pump well in
the village of Lassa Tchou. They are presently working on another test
well in the village of Kacaade. For a more detailed account of the past
two weeks' drilling experiences visit David's blog at

Our
family is doing well. Hannah turned 9 years old on March 15th and had a
candy birthday party! It is such a joy to see her grow and mature in so
many ways. Our children have all come through small viruses this week
and are doing well and enjoying school. Becky and the children were all
able to visit the well at Lassa Tchou on Monday and took a school field
trip to the developing well in Kacaade on Saturday. We're all adjusting
to David being gone from very early in the morning until dinner time
most days and are also enjoying hosting Latte and Matthew in our home.
Becky continues to meet with one of the Christian ladies in Lassa Tchou,
Christiane, for discipleship and teaching time each Thursday as they go
through the gospel of John. She usually brings a different Christian
lady with her from Lassa Tchou as they make the hour and a half walk
into Kara on Thursday morning. Please pray for the success of the well
drilling and impact it can have on God's kingdom here in Kabiyeland.
Please also pray for opportunities for us to share the gospel and to
teach maturing Christians here in Kara where we live and throughout
Kabiyeland. May God bless you!
