Kabiye Team News Team Update Sorry for the extended absence! Computer and internet problems have not allowed us to maintain a regular newsletter schedule. Thanks for sticking with us, and keep praying! There are two things that we want to keep everyone updated about. First, this Easter weekend is the annual Kabiye All-Church Retreat! The Kabiye Christians have been praying and planning for this event for many months now, and this year's retreat was planned almost entirely without our help. Praise God! This year's gathering is being hosted by the villages of Kaacade and Hade Te Yo. Please be praying for the retreat, that God would foster even stronger unity within the Kabiye churches. Pray also that God would bless the Christians with good communication and fellowship. There are some conversations that will affect all of the Kabiye churches that we hope will take place this weekend while they are all together. The second thing we want to inform you about is the continued progress on the well project. Matthew Waller, an intern with the Water for All organization (www.waterforallinternational.org), has arrived here in Togo. He and David Reeves have been very busy with preparations to dig the first test well, something that we hope to see happen in the next week or so. Please pray for God to continue to bless our team, and Matthew and David in particular, as we work to bring clean water to Kabiye people who desperately need it! We hope to have our technology issues solved soon, so be on the look out for a normal Kabiye Team News in the near future. Thank you for praying, and God bless you! |
