Kabiye Team News Team Update As many of you know, we have for some time been working to begin a project that will bless many people in Kabiye land with clean drinking water. Water For All International has agreed to work with us and tentatively by March 8th we plan to have a gentleman from their organization on the ground with us and we will begin the first stage of digging wells. The beginning stages of this project will require a significant amount of money to get things up and running. WFA has informed us that we will need $30,000 for up front costs. Currently $7,000 has been given. If you would like to help finance the drilling of wells for the Kabiye people, then please send your donations to the Preston Road Church of Christ in Dallas, TX. Their address is 6409 Preston Road, Dallas, TX 75205. Please make checks out to Preston Road Church of Christ and write Water For Togo in the memo line. Thanks to everyone for your consideration, and may God be glorified through this endeavor! Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@gmail.com
David enjoyed a fun weekend safari with Elijah and Gabriel, along with the Miller boys and Brett. Becky and Hannah and Caleb had some fun (and relative quiet!) together time back at home. (See one of Hannah's creative projects she did during this time as well as pictures of our 3 sweet boys) David has been wrapping up some of his weekly schedule of village visits in preparation for the Water For All intern, Matthew Waller, who is coming March 8th. He will be here with our team for 2 months and David will be devoting this time to working hand in hand with him as well as other Christians to build about 5 test wells to get things in place for a more long term project that we pray will bless many many people here in Kabiyeland with clean drinking water. Please continue to pray with us for the Lord to continue to provide the funds needed for all of the supplies, labor, and transportation needs to fund this endeavor.
God has been good and has continued to give us strength in the midst of sickness and discouragement. Through trials both physical and spiritual we can claim: We are afflicted but not crushed; perplexed but not despairing, persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed. We count it as joy to carry around the death of Christ in our bodies that His life can then be glorified through us. None of this is from us and the work He is doing in and through us is by His hand. We praise Him and ask you to praise Him with us! May God bless you and give you these same blessings in your own lives this week!
