Kabiye Team News Team Update As many of you know, we have for some time been working to begin a project that will bless many people in Kabiye land with clean drinking water. Water For All International has agreed to work with us and tentatively by March 8th we plan to have a gentleman from their organization on the ground with us and we will begin the first stage of digging wells. The beginning stages of this project will require a significant amount of money to get things up and running.
Other team news of note: We all have FRESH STRAWBERRIES!!! Praise God!!! Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@gmail.com Greetings from our family. We are thankful that our family is almost completely recovered from a time of sickness. Hannah, Elijah, Gabriel and Caleb all had the same virus hit them and it hung on hard for five or six days. David came down with what we thought was pneumonia but it turned our to be a severe case of bronchitis. He dealt with shortness of breath, dizziness and numbness in his extremities. The doctors put him on house rest and he has been out of commission for about a week and a half. However, now we are happy to say that everyone is pretty much on the mend and we are so thankful to God for his faithfulness in healing our bodies. His grace was especially seen in protecting Becky so at least someone could take care of the sick and feeble. She was truly a blessing to our family.
The Lord has provided Becky with new opportunities to get to know women in our neighborhood and around town over this past year and this coming Thursday morning she will begin a ladies Bible study at our house. She plans, at this point, to study the book of John. Please be in prayer for these Thursday morning meetings that God will bless them and many will come to hear His Word. David's sickness kept him from going out to villages this past week. However, a lot has been happening with the well project and David has been working hard to communicate with the Water For All people and get this project off the ground. We are excited to say that beginning in March an intern from WFA plans to arrive here in Kara. He will be spending three months with us here and will help us with the first stage of the project. This stage will involve getting all of the necessary equipment together in the hope of digging five trial wells. Please be praying for this project as we believe it will be a great blessing to many people here in Kabiye land. Also, we need help financially with this project. If God places this need on your heart then please refer to the request for funds above in the team update section and help in any way you can. May God bless each one of you. The Reeves family |
