Team Update

Help! The Kara Christian Academy needs to fill teaching slots for the spring semester of 2007-08 school year. If you, or anyone you know, would like to teach three bright and energetic 2nd graders or their 3 younger, pre-school aged brothers, please contact Andrea Miller at kabiyemission@yahoo.com. We are also looking for new teachers for the 2008-2009 school year!

We had an enjoyable time hosting the Burks from the Dano Team as our two teams celebrated Thanksgiving together this past week. We've also had a great time over the past week hosting Becky's mom, Fran Henniger. She has been able to visit quite a few churches and participate in our daily lives. She especially was able to connect with some of the Christian ladies in Lassa Tchou when she and Becky went out and taught a women's lesson last Tuesday. The children have really enjoyed having their Grandmommy here, too. We thank God for providing for her to be here with us over the past couple of weeks. David and Gabriel will leave on Thursday to take Fran down to Accra where they will then pick up Rod Webring and Hayden Smith, two of the elders from our sponsoring congregation. They will be here visiting until the 13th of December and we are looking forward to their visit also.

David was encouraged this week by the Christians in Tchefengda who have, with the permission of the village chief, offered a large piece of land and building as a trial grounds for development projects, specifically the goat breeding project that we are still experimenting with. Please pray for the beginning of development projects over the next few months and years, including animal husbandry and well digging projects. For more information on the well digging project we are hoping to be able to begin soon in cooperation with Water For All, check out David's blog at http://davidreeves.wordpress.com and click on the Water For All tab. We also covet your prayers for the First Annual Area-wide Ladies' Retreat that will be hosted the weekend of December 7,8,9 by the Christian ladies in the village of Lassa Tchou. Please pray for this to be a time of spiritual growth, renewal, new relationships, and fellowship for the Kabiye women who attend this retreat. As always, please pray for our family's physical and spiritual health as we continue to minister here among the Kabiye. May God bless you!
