Team Update

Help! The Kara Christian Academy needs to fill teaching slots for the spring semester of 2007-08 school year. If you, or anyone you know, would like to teach three bright and energetic 2nd graders or their 3 younger, pre-school aged brothers, please contact Andrea Miller at kabiyemission@yahoo.com. We are also looking for new teachers for the 2008-2009 school year!

This week we are enjoying the return of the Neal family to Kara! It has been about 2 years since they left in 2005, and we have all been blessed to have them back. The children have especially enjoyed renewing their friendships. Please pray for the Neals, that God would bless their time here and give them safe travels back home to Texas next week.

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@gmail.com

Hello everyone! We are so thankful to be able to share the happenings of this past week with you. This week has been blessed, but somewhat trying. Our family has been plagued with sickness and that has caused some stress. Elijah has had malaria and is having a hard time kicking it. Gabriel has had fever and cough and David and Becky both have sore throats and body aches. We are thankful that Hannah and Caleb have been healthy so far. Also this week David had a small episode with our gas range and his hand was slightly burned. The sicknesses have made school a little disjointed for our family but each of the kids continue to enjoy school and learn well. The big thing at school right now is the new tetherball pole that was recently installed. The kids have had a great time with it before school and during recesses.

We have been very blessed this week to have the Neal family return for a brief visit. It has been so wonderful to reconnect with Don and Jane and the kids have loved renewing their friendships with Marie Claire, Peter, Rachel and Honor. We are particularly looking forward to hosting the Neal family in our home later this week.

The work week has been good. Visits in Kaacade/Hade Te and Tchefengda have been particularly good. It seems that there is a spirit of community and fellowship developing between these three churches and that would be a direct answer to prayer. It has been good to see the interaction between these Christians and how they are spurring one another on in their dedication to God. Please continue to pray that God will further solidify a cohesive spirit between these church families.

We also enjoyed our team Harvest Hoedown party on the 31st. The fourth graders performed a play they wrote together and recited scripture they have memorized. The second graders drew some pictures about the Vikings that they are studying in history and recited a Bible verse and the preschoolers performed 3 songs they have been learning in preschool: "Here's a Little Chicky", "The Shuckin' of the Corn", and "Pick a Bale O' Cotton" (complete with choreography!) We had a carnival type recreation time with a ring toss, bean bag toss, cupcake walk, and craft center complete with candy prizes thanks to the Neal family!

May God bless you this week! If you would like to receive our monthly family newsletter send us an email. Also, check out our blogs: www.beckyreeves.wordpress.com and www.davidreeves.wordpress.com.
