Help! The Kara Christian Academy needs to fill teaching slots for the spring semester of 2007-08 school year. If you, or anyone you know, would like to teach three bright and energetic 2nd graders or their 3 younger, pre-school aged brothers, please contact Andrea Miller at kabiyemission@yahoo.com. We are also looking for new teachers for the 2008-2009 school year!

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@gmail.com

Greetings from our family! This has been a very challenging week and we thank you for so many of you who have been lifting our teammates and Kabiye brothers and sisters up in your prayers. Our hearts are intertwined with, and deeply grieved for, our sister and friend, Esowe Adam and her husband Adam. Esowe wishes to express gratitude to all of you who have already heard of their 3 month old daughter, Esther Samto, and her death this past Wednesday and have been lifting their family up in prayer. Please continue to pray for them. We also covet your prayers for the Emerson family and Abalo after the car accident, which was also on Wednesday.

We have some rejoicing to express, too! On Saturday afternoon, 3 young men in the village of Tchefengda committed their lives to Jesus and were baptized into his death and raised to walk in newness of life. Their names are Olivier Tchagoma, Pabamam Ngnama and Essosolim Ngnama. Please pray for them as they begin their life in Christ Jesus. David also had good visits in Legue Legue, Kacadee, and Bodowda this past week. David is continuing in correspondence with Water For All, a company who empowers nationals to hand drill their own wells, and is hopeful for their work beginning here among the Kabiye in the near future.

Our family is doing well, despite some increased fatigue for David and Becky. Hannah and Elijah are enjoying school, as well as Gabriel. Becky is still enjoying teaching preschool two mornings a week and is still working to complete the literacy book. Caleb is getting close to walking without help, now standing for a couple of seconds at a time all by himself. Please pray for us as we parent our sweet children, for wisdom from the Lord and consistent perseverance, especially with the strong will of our third child. We covet your prayers. If you would like to receive our monthly family newsletter or be a prayer partner with our family please email us at kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr.

Check out our updated blogs for more on the baptisms at Tchefengda and Becky's thoughts on Esowe's daughter's death and some of the trials of this week: davidreeves.wordpress.com and beckyreeves.wordpress.com. Hannah and Elijah are pictured with Adam and Esowe's other daughters Hannah and Grace here at our house. May God bless you!
