Reeves Family Update -

Greetings
to each of you from our family. We have had a week filled with good
things and not so good things. Friday afternoon, David was rear ended by
a large sand truck. The rear end of the truck was significantly damaged.
Most of the damage was to the rear doors and thankfully there was no
damage to the frame and it still drives as before. However, we are going
to need to repair the damage as soon as possible and will need money for
those repairs. David will be getting an estimate this week and we ask
that you be praying for God to provide the money necessary for the
repairs. We are thankful to God that David was not injured and that
everything with the police went well.
Our family is doing well over all. However, we have been hit with some
sickness. Caleb is going through his first amoeba and Gabriel is dealing
with malaria again. So far they are both being troopers about it. Please
pray for God to protect them and heal them soon. David is really
struggling with allergies and so far the meds he has taken have made him
very drowsy and not his usual self. Pray for God to bring him relief.
Becky, Hannah and Elijah are the healthy ones and we are so thankful.
(See
picture of Hannah with "the pretty blue bugs" out in Lassa Tchou.) Our
kids have just begun the new school year and they are having a great
time. Hannah is starting 4th grade, Elijah 2nd grade and Gabriel is in
preschool. Becky is teaching the preschoolers and having fun with those
young boys. We are thankful for Tracey teaching the older kids and for
Emily coming to teach our 2nd graders. Please pray all this school year
for our kids and their teachers so that they will have a great year and
learn all they need to learn.
Work continues to be slower this time of year but God has been blessing
the churches. David had a really good visit with the Christians in Hade
Te and Kaacade on Wednesday. Both of these churches are smaller in
number but those who come really love God and are eager to learn and
grow. Tuesday, Becky taught a lesson on love to the Christians in Lassa
Tchou. Sunday the entire family went to Bodowdaa for worship and had a
very good time with the Christians there. Each of these churches are
small and in need of strength and courage from God to live what they
believe and speak boldly of God's love and mercy. Please pray for these
things. Also pray for David's upcoming visits this week to Legue Legue,
Hade Te/Kaacade, Bodowdaa and Tchefengda.

We love each of you so very much and praise God for your involvement in
the mission to the Kabiye. God bless you!
