Team Update

The Kabiye have a blessing they give to people which says, literally, "May there be coolness!" With the recent rains, we have been physically cool - a great blessing. More blessings have come in the form of Matt and Brett's safe return from their survey trip to Sudan and healing from sickness. Check out the posts below to read all about it.

We are still asking for prayers - and volunteers! - to fill the pre-school and spring 2nd grade teaching spots. If you, or anyone you know, are interested, please contact Tracey Ries at: btries@kabiyemission.org

Finally, remember that Together for Togo is coming! Please continue to check the updates posted at http://togo2007.com for details and plan to attend the bi-annual conference October 5-7 at the Preston Road Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas. Online registration should be up and running this week.

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@gmail.com

Greetings from our family to each of you. We've been doing well since our last newsletter update. Our greatest relief is that Becky is doing well and has recovered almost completely from her illnesses. She had malaria and bacterial dysentery and was in bed for a couple of days last week. We praise God for his faithfulness in protecting and healing Becky. Hannah, Elijah, Gabriel and Caleb are each doing well. They are all healthy and have been particularly enjoying playing in all of the rain we've had over this past week. Caleb grows a little more each day and his personality grows right along with his body. His favorite time of the day lately seems to be bath time. Please continue to pray for our family's health and well being.

Work continues to be dictated by the season of planting and gardening. David made two trips to villages this past week and everyone but the child representative was busy working their fields. Please pray for all of the churches during this time of the year as they are so busy with their crops.

David has taken a couple of days this past week to make improvements on, and finish up, the goat pen. We have 3 goats and hope to have 9 more females soon to begin some serious breeding. We're hoping to use these goats to gift churches and teach them better animal husbandry methods to produce healthier goats and to have a source of income to share with those in need both in their church family and in their village. Please pray that this can be an avenue of blessing for the Kabiye churches. Thank you so much for your prayers! May God bless you!
