Team Update

Help! The Kara Christian Academy needs to fill two (2) teaching slots for the 2007-08 school year. If you, or anyone you know, would like to teach three bright and energetic 2nd graders or their 3 younger, pre-school aged brothers, please contact Tracey Ries at btries@kabiyemission.org.

The interns are here! We always look forward to summer as a team because it means that we will be blessed with vibrant and eager young college students living and working among us for two months. This year we have 12 students, and they are already blessing us and the people here after just a few days in the country. Please pray for them to grow spiritually and for God to show them how He could use them in the mission field!

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

Yeah!! We're so glad the Millers are back and we're having a wonderful time hosting our Harding interns. For these first 10 days we have the four guys in the group. They have already been such a blessing to talk to and get to know. Please pray for the interns' health and experiences here over the next 8 weeks. The first part of last week saw David on the road, once again. He has driven the 9 1/2 hours each way trip to Accra and back 3 times over the past month. The first time was for the West African Missionary Retreat, the second to pick up the Miller family and the third to pick up interns. He is looking forward to a few weeks of staying put around Kabiye land before he leaves on a survey trip of Mali, Burkina Faso, and northern Togo with Matt, Brett, and the interns in the early part of July. Please continue to pray for the Lord to do a powerful work all over Kabiye land, and especially here in the city of Kara, for the good news to spread and for many to be brought into life in Him. Your prayers are such a huge part of our ministry here!

On the home front, Becky turned 32 on the 14th. Hannah is overjoyed to have Abby Miller back, especially as she has been the only girl in school for the past 7 months. Hannah, Elijah, and Gabriel are all looking forward to summer school this next month with Tracey and a few of the interns. Caleb, Elijah, and Gabriel are all fighting off colds at the moment. Caleb was finally able to receive his 6 month shots this last week after 3 months of perseverance on the part of Becky in trying to purchase them. Thanks to our nurse friend, Edith, in Kara who administered the vaccines. Please pray for our family's health during this season, especially for our children. May God bless you!
