Team Update

Help! The Kara Christian Academy needs to fill two (2) teaching slots for the 2007-08 school year. If you, or anyone you know, would like to teach three bright and energetic 2nd graders or their 3 younger, pre-school aged brothers, please contact Tracey Ries at btries@kabiyemission.org.

This week the team is converging on Ghana for the West Africa Missionary Retreat (WAMR). The Emersons have arrived back on the continent from their furlough in the States, and the Reeves and the Rieses are driving down from Kara. We are all eagerly awaiting the return of the Millers on the 21st of May, and then the summer interns just one week after that. Things are moving at a fast pace, and we ask for your prayers as a team that we would keep focused and diligent in the work God has put before us. God bless you all!

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@gmail.com

Hello to each of you from our home in Togo. Actually we are currently in Ghana taking part in our annual West African Missionary Retreat (WAMR). We are very excited to have an opportunity to get together with our colleagues and friends from all over West Africa and spend a few, brief days in retreat with each of them. Please pray for these next few days so that God will bless the time we spend together.

Our family is doing well. We have had a few days of health issues again, but now it seems that everyone is on the mend. As always, we ask that you continually go before God in prayer on behalf of our physical health. Our kids are doing really well. Caleb is growing like a weed and now has two teeth. One on the top and one on the bottom. He has already learned to use them really well, particularly on Becky. Also he has learned to say mama and knows exactly who mama is which has been a sweet development. Hannah, Elijah and Gabriel will be finishing up their last week of "official" school as soon as we return from WAMR. Elijah and Graham Ries will be doing some summer school to finish their reading curriculum that they have not yet finished.

Work has been blessed during these past several days and very diverse. Becky had a very good visit in the village of Soumdina Po Wayi. There she taught a health lesson and enjoyed learning how do do some African cooking. The ladies there were very thankful for her visit and also were very encouraging to Becky. David had good visits this past week as well. Particularly his visits in Ajadaa and Legue Legue went very well. Legue Legue has finished their building finally and we met there for the first time this past Tuesday and had a very good bible study that was more focused than usual. The visit in Ajadaa was meaningful because the discussion we had was filled with depth and understanding. Please pray for these two churches as well as the many others. They need to see God more clearly and find the deep meaning in who they are as Kingdom people. Please continue to pray also for the Millers and our summer interns as they arrive in just a few short weeks. May God bless you!

Love, The Reeves Family
