Kabiye Team News Team Update Greetings everyone from blazing hot Kara, Togo! This past week has been defined by Becky and Tracey traveling to Kenya for the Come Before Winter women's retreat and the rolling power outages that have magnified the heat. David and Bryan are working hard to keep things running smoothly in their respective homes during the girls' absence, and the whole team is juggling schedules with only 2 working vehicles between us. Please pray that God would continue to use us in the lives of the people here despite the circumstances. We trust that God has a plan! Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr Greetings to each of you. We are thankful to be able to share with you a little about what is transpiring in our lives on this side of the pond. This past week has been defined by travel for our entire family and heat. This past Thursday we traveled to Accra, Ghana so that Becky and Caleb, Tracey Ries and Melissa Johnson and Mandy Chankin from Burkina Faso could fly to Melindi, Kenya for the Come Before Winter Retreat. They have been gone now for five days and we are missing them a great deal. Our home is just not the same without Becky's presence and is certainly a lot quieter without Caleb. I would plead with you to pray for their safety while there, their refreshing as they enjoy time with other missionary women and for their eventual return to Accra on the 26th. We have been experiencing a great deal of power outages lately, and that combined with the intense heat that has arrived recently has been very trying on our family. The kids have been sleeping on the floor or in Daddy and Mommy's air conditioned room. Please pray for our patience and endurance. Becky's absence has limited my time in the village this week as I have been blessed to spend more time as mommy to the kids. We have been having a great bonding time together. This past Sunday I took the kids with me to Lassa Chou for worship and had a great time. Their worship was filled with purpose and passion which is sometimes lacking in the worship times in the village. Please be in prayer for the heart of worship that needs to develop in the lives of each individual Christian which will then spill over into the life of the church as a whole. Please continue to be in prayer for each of the churches in Kabiye land as they seek to grow in faith. We love each of you and are thankful for you dedication to our Lord. God bless. The Reeves |
