Team Update
The
big headlines for our team remain the arrivals of the Miller's baby and
the Emerson's container. The container should arrive in Kara on Sunday.
(UPDATE: The container arrived Sunday afternoon and we will be
unloading Monday morning! Praise God!) The latest on the Miller
baby is that we are still waiting. Little AnnaMarie is being a little
bit shy it seems!
David and Bryan continue to teach from the Sermon on the Mount out in
the villages. The annual conference for the Kabiye churches is just over
a month away, so we are making preparations for that as well. They are
also working on various development and aid projects which you can read
more about below.
Reeves Family Update -
kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr
Greetings from the Reeves family! We've had
a good week and praise God for his faithfulness! Around our house our
big excitement has been the long power outages and a termite hatching in
one of the doorframes in our dining room.
Check
out Becky's blog for the story http://withunveiledface.blogspot.com.
Caleb turned 6 months old on Friday and he is now sitting in a high
chair for meals! We are enjoying him so much but he's growing too fast
for his mom and dad! Hannah, Elijah, and Gabriel are thriving and
enjoyed playing with some of the neighborhood children yesterday
afternoon in a sand pile on our road. Becky even heard them trying out
some of their French and even a little Kabiye with the children. Mostly
hand gestures and body language seemed to get the job done, though.
David
has had some extra time this week to get a lot more done on the goat
pens in our side yard. He is planning to begin a goat project this next
month, raising and breeding goats to give as gifts in the villages and
pass on what he learns here at home about good breeding techniques and
health maintenance. The children are all looking forward to this
project, as well! David also really enjoyed helping the Ewede Christians
build the foundation for their church building last week with Brett.
Becky was able to teach a women's lesson in Ajadaa in place of David's
usual visit this past Wednesday and enjoyed her time with the women
there. May God bless you this week! Love, The Reeves Family
