Team Update

Our team has had a good week of life and ministry together. We started the week with a team retreat. Since the Emersons and Rachel just recently arrived, the retreat provided a great opportunity to get to know each other better. We also looked at how the overall personality of the team is evolving.

Praise God, the Emerson's container has arrived in the Lome' port! Please pray with us that everything will arrive safely in Kara soon. The Millers are expecting their new addition to their family any day now, so please keep Andrea and the baby in your prayers.

This past week has been productive and full! We had a good mini team retreat on Sunday night and Monday and feel more unified with the Emersons and Rachel after sharing about our families and stories of how God has worked through our lives up to this point. We also spent time discussing the DISC profile we all took and understanding how our team culture has changed (and will continue to change) with the addition of new teammates. On Wednesday we had a nice Valentine's Day with a party for the children at school and our annual circle of love campfire with other adult missionaries here in town that evening.

On Saturday David and Brett spent the morning out in the village of Ewede, along with some of the Christians from Lassa Tchou, helping the Christians there to build their new building for a meeting place. We are excited to see the Christians here taking initiative to build their own places to meet and to see many have a desire to share the good news with friends, family, and those in neighboring villages. Please continue to pray for the Lord to prick hearts here among the Kabiye and bring people from darkness into His freeing light. On the nights when it is David's turn to go up to the church building here in Kara to pray for a revival he is often the only one there but has felt encouraged that he is obeying God and it has been good for our hearts to be seeking Him more on behalf of people here in Kara. The children are all enjoying school and Becky is still working on the literacy primer. We are tired this week but thankful for God's amazing love.
