Team Update

Happy Harmattan everyone! The dust from the Sahara has invaded our little corner of the world, marking the start of the long dry season. Even thought there won't be any rain for many months rendering the fields unproductive, we are anticipating a bountiful spiritual harvest. Pray for the Kabiye churches as they begin evangelizing in nearby villages as well as for a deepening of the Christians' knowledge of God.

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

We've had a full 2 weeks around the Reeves household!  We're in the middle of fixing up our guestrooms for company at the end of the month and putting in a patio under two trees in the side yard, so there are lots of workers around the compound! We celebrated Gabriel's 3rd birthday on Monday with a Superman Party! It was a smaller crowd this year with only the Ries boys as guests, but we still had lots of fun! We played games, dove on the slip n' slide and ate fufu with peanut sauce for lunch at the request of Gabriel!

David has had some very good village visits this week where he preached about the gracious love of God towards us. He washed the feet of Christians in Bodowda and Lassa Tchou to demonstrate how the Lord serves us and wants us to serve one another. The Christians were especially shocked that he would wash the feet of children and one leader told him that he felt convicted that there was pride in his heart that the Lord needed to purge because he could not have done that for others, especially the children.

Becky had a pretty yucky yeast infection around her eyes that seems to finally have resolved itself after continual application of medicine. We are thankful to God for his healing as it was painful, itchy, and pretty inconvenient, with one eye almost swollen shut. We are enjoying our new puppy, Jack, and David and Elijah, especially, have been working to train him over the past 2 weeks. Please continue to pray for our family and the Kabiye Christians as we live and minister here. Thank you for your love and prayers! We love you!
