Team Update

Our team was deeply saddened this week by the news of the death of Cyndi Chowning, our co-worker and friend working among the Aja in Benin. She was struck by a motorcycle during a village visit and died soon after. We ask that you be in prayer for her husband Richard and their family. She was a wonderful servant of the Lord and will be missed greatly.

It has been a busy week for the in-Togo portion of our team. Nine people have been baptized this week, two in Soumdina Po Wayi and seven in Tchefengda! Matt also had a special campout with the leaders of the N'Djei cluster. The Rieses and Reeves continue their visits in the States, and the Emersons are busily preparing for their departure in about two months. The Kabiye team is working with 17 churches and 5 preaching points throughout Kabiyeland.

Greetings from Washington state! We hope this newsletter finds everyone doing well. Our week has been pretty uneventful. We've found a routine here of schoolwork in the morning for the children, David spending consistent time up at the church building, and attending church events and community events for the children. Becky is continuing to do well and having to make choices to pace herself so that contractions don't come on too strong, which is still challenging at times. David's lessons on evangelism are continuing on Sunday morning and it has been, as always, so good for us to recount what God has don, and is doing, among the Kabiye and to get excited about the Lord's kingdom spreading in other parts of the world. Please continue to pray for the spreading of God's word in Kabiyeland and in this corner of Washington. May God bless you this week! Love, the Reeves
